Newsletter: Summer 2018
Hopefully we have lots of sunshine to come this Summer term!!!
Not much to report, thankfully. Mel came to the end of her temporary position with us, to move onto pastures new and we have welcomed Rachael into the toddler unit. She has several years experience as a nursery practitioner, working for the ‘Busy Bees’ franchise for over 6 years. Lauren and Emma are both continuing with their degrees and Olivia is also working towards hers.
We are focussing on our outdoor environment over the next couple of months and are hopeful we will be able to spend longer days accessing it. In light of this please ensure children have appropriate clothing, hats etc.
Following advice from our local safeguarding board I am taking steps to update the way we record any accidents which occur away from the setting (ie at home). I hope you will assist us in this by completing the appropriate documentation and letting staff know of any existing injuries. The new form requires a little more information and accuracy. I hope you can appreciate the importance for both us and the children that all incidents are logged, both in setting and those which occur outside.
We have been successfully sharing all invoices and letters of information via e mail for several months. This newsletter is now being sent in the same way, please ensure all your details are up to date in order for this to continue.
September School Intake
If your child is leaving us to go to school in September, would you please let us know their last day and the school they will be attending. This enables to make sure all the necessary paperwork follows them.
