Amy has had a beautiful little girl named Aria, she popped in to see us and both are doing really well. Hayley Parkin is new to our pre-school room to replace Hannah who has gone to a school to work towards her teaching qualification; Hayley has lots of experience working within day care settings and abroad. Unfortunately we are also saying goodbye to Beth who has been offered the opportunity of a deputy manager position, we are all really sorry to see her go but wish her lots and lots of luck. Elouise Wilsher has replaced Beth and will be working alongside the team in the toddler unit. Again she has lots of experience within private day care settings. Again consistency and continuity for the children is our prime concern and I always make any staff changes with this in mind. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss any of the above arrangements.
I’m sure you will all agree that the new toilets in Pre-school look great. We are just waiting for new windows to complete the look. Hopefully we will also replace the other 2 windows above in the near future.
If you haven’t already done so please would you ensure all your details are up to date as the invoices from June onwards will be sent out via email.
Fun Day, Sunday 20.08.17, 12pm – 2pm
Last year we raised over £800 for Martin House children’s hospice and we would like to make this year an even bigger success. This will be our 8th charity fun day so please support us and bring family and friends along.
Any donations for our bottle tombola would be much appreciated and we are always on the look out for raffle prizes too. We will have Cookie Karen providing refreshments and the usual bouncy castle, face painting and much, much more. All money raised goes straight to the charity so please make a note of the date.
Parents’ Evening, Thursday 06.07.17, 7pm – 9pm
For any parents new to nursery this is a great opportunity to catch up with staff and look at your children’s progress. The evening is very informal and no appointments are necessary, we will remind you all nearer the date.
We have had a couple of isolated cases of chicken pox so please let us know if your child has contracted them. As children are contagious for 2-3 days before the appearance of spots it is really difficult to contain any outbreaks. Children will need to be absent from nursery until all the spots are dry and have scabbed over.
If your child is leaving us to go to school in September please could you let us know their last day at nursery and which school they will be attending.
- Summer: Please could we have named sun hats and sun cream in nursery.
- Collection: Please would you let us know in advance if someone else is picking your child up from nursery.
