Both Nicole and Jodie have had their little bundles. Nicole had a son, Rory, just before Christmas and Jodie had a daughter, Annabelle, a couple of weeks ago, all are doing well. Amy has just returned to work following her maternity leave and is back heading up Pre-School, many thanks to all staff, especially Olivia for maintaining Amy’s high standards throughout. Unfortunately Mandy decided to take up a new post at Christmas so we now have 2 new members of staff; Eve is heading up the baby unit and comes with several years of experience both as a practitioner and deputy manager. Victoria is working alongside Becki and again has several years experience including working as a nanny to a couple of families. Hopefully our run of ‘staff developments’ is coming to a close and as always I thank you for you continued support. If you have any queries regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact me.
We have redecorated the hallway and I am sure you will agree it looks much better. There are a number of other developments in the pipeline including the toddler unit and the outdoor environment. As always we will attempt to keep any disruption to a minimum.
World Book Day 01.03.18
We will send out more details nearer the time but we will be celebrating by sharing books and dressing up as our favourite characters.
New fees will take effect from April (as usual) and I will try to keep them to a minimum. The 30 hour free entitlement for 3/4 year olds is coming into its 3rd term and most of our pre-school children are eligible which does have an impact on us as a small business. I will inform everyone as soon as I can taking all factors into consideration.
As all invoices, newsletters etc. are now shared electronically, I would like to extend this by either emailing or updating the website with curriculum information. I would appreciate any feedback from yourselves in order to maximise our parent/nursery partnerships.
Following safeguarding updates from the Local Authority, it is now a requirement for all parents to inform nursery of any unplanned absences. I know most of you do already but please would you either email or telephone to let us know if your child is not going to be in nursery. If we do not receive any correspondence then we have been asked to follow this up ourselves by either of the above methods.
Security: Please would you make sure the outside door is always closed on leaving, anyone waiting to come in should be asked to ring the bell and wait for a member of staff to answer. This is especially important at busy times of the day.
Lost Property: We do seem to collect lots of items of clothing, if at all possible could you pop a name into the labels (especially outdoor items).
