Staff Developments

Nadia gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Safa on 20th December, mother and baby are doing really well. Hopefully Nadia will be back towards the end of Summer, in the meantime I am hoping to have someone in post to cover from February. As you may have noticed we have had some staffing changes over the break, most parents were informed before the holidays. Jess has moved over to the baby unit, Beth is now working in the pre-school unit and our new member of staff will be based in the main building.

Refurbishments

We have finally had the car park resurfaced, which I hope you agree looks much improved and we have almost completed the upstairs dining room, there is just the floor and tops to complete. As always we try to keep disruption to a minimum but thank you for you cooperation.

Bad Weather Arrangements

As always nursery will remain open whenever possible, as yet we have never had to close due to bad weather. We would always keep you updated of any altered arrangements and would ask parents to be mindful of the ever changing conditions throughout the course of the day.

Performance Questionnaires

I value all suggestions made by our parents and it is really important for us to have feedback from you regarding the services we offer. I have altered the format and would really appreciate it if you could take the time out to complete it, there is also a section for you to share with your child, to enable us to include their ideas too.

The children will all receive a book token to celebrate and we would love it if they could dress up as their favourite character. We will send out more information nearer the time.

[donotprint]red-nose-day-2015-logo[/donotprint]Red Nose Day Friday 13.03.15

As always we will be raising money for Comic Relief, we will have lots of opportunities for donating throughout the week and more information will be given nearer the time.

Fees

I will be reviewing fees shortly, to take effect from the 1st of April, as always I will try to keep the increase to a minimum while still maintaining our high standards. Thank you as always for your continued support and understanding.

Reminders
  • Warm Clothing: Please could we have named, warm outdoor clothing and wellies for the coming months.
  • Communication: The books provide an efficient form of communication for both staff and parents, it’s really important to us that they are updated on a daily basis and brought in with the children.
  • Medication: We are happy to administer prescribed medication, providing it is in the original container with name, date, dosage etc. clearly marked. Children need to be taking the medication for at least 24 hours before returning to nursery.
  • Security: Please would you inform a member of staff if someone else is collecting your child from nursery, even if they have collected before. If they are not familiar to us we would need to have a password also.
