Nadia is back from maternity leave and will be taking over as head of the toddler unit. She will be with us 3 days a week but will be supported by Jodie Bolton and the rest of the team. Sadly we have to say good-bye to Sam who has been covering Nadia’s maternity leave but wish her every success for the future.
Over the summer break Amy took herself to America to get married and is now Mrs Bradley, many congratulations. Quite a few of the girls have returned to university this month to continue their studies towards a Foundation Degree.
Fun Day 2015
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped to make it a huge success. The final total raised was £632.35 which will be going to Martin House Children’s Hospice. Thank you also to all the staff who give their time freely. Please take a look at some Fun Day photos here.
Bad Weather Arrangements
I always make every attempt to maintain a normal nursery day throughout any inclement weather. There have only been a couple of occasions over the last 9 years when I have closed nursery slightly earlier due to bad snow etc. Please ensure contact numbers are up to date and check with nursery if the weather changes dramatically throughout the day.
All the children will have access to the outdoors throughout the winter months, could we please have a pair of named ‘wellies’ in nursery and a waterproof coat each day.
Thank you to everyone who donated, the Salvation Army were extremely grateful and send sincere thanks to everyone.
Nursery Photographs Wed & Thurs 7th/8th October
All children who attend on these days will be photographed at some point. If your children are not in on these days but you would like to take advantage of the offer, please give Marie a call to arrange a time.

Parents’ Evening 03.12.15, 7 pm – 9 pm
This is a great opportunity to meet with staff and chat about your children. It is an informal evening with no appointments necessary, we will be sending out information nearer the time but please make a note in your diary.
Updated Sickness Policy
Hopefully you all received the information with regard to the update we have made to our sickness policy. There is a copy on the website and I hope you all appreciate the necessity for a 48 hour absence from nursery following a bout of sickness and/or diarrhoea.
In the last newsletter I did ask parents to indicate if they wanted me to deliver a session with regard to the EYFS etc. As no one requested this I did not follow it up, however I am more than happy to make arrangements if you now feel you would like to have this information, again please feel free to contact me.
- Clothing: Please could we have named wellies and coats in nursery.
- Security: Could you please close the door firmly behind you and please do not let anyone into the building, close the door and ask them to ring the bell again.
